|
Floatation is the utilization of air bubbles for the valuable substance concentrate lifting to the liquid surface.
In this respect we are more interested in the GRAY SUBSTANCE and in the process of appearance, which is floatation, of the artistic image upon its surface.
At first, I wanted to just leap out of the water like a whale does it. The very leap is being born somewhere in the spine... A sudden burst of water and — the fountain of air — turned upside-down. A blow of light and - the flight seeming unreal. The idea of building and testing a catapult for launching a human body from-out-of-under the water and into the air presupposed three underwater supports — the main one plus two stabilizing ones. Between them there was a rubber motor-accelerator stretched with the help of a winch. The start was with a special mechanical trapeze — an «arbalest». The use of an underwater catapult, successful in this or that respect, did not, however, satisfy the flying ambitions to the end, but was but a prompt of an idea of more «radical» aviation. In other words, I was eager to linger on the taste by making a leap from-out-of-under the water and perfectly into the sky. The idea of a balloon filled up with hydrogen came «without saying». Assistance of skilled aviators and divers was here but, of course. As for the intention of a flight out into the stratosphere, it lost its sense right away, since the pioneer here appeared to be already well-known: he was none other than an prdinary Russian soldier who, according to the legend, flew high up into the sky during manoeuvres. In several days he came back safe and sound in the presence of the balloon and mind: he had been covered with ice together with the craft, gained weight and lost height. Nevertheless, the very idea of underwater take-off kept on attracting me by its «objectiveness», so to speak. Obviously, for the body dipped into a liquid or gas there are already all the prerequisites for vertical movement: the upward forces are always to operate here. More to it, from the point of view of this irresistible «out» and «upward» force, any other type of movement, different from vertical, seems accidental and subjective: East or West UP is best. The capability of the internal to show up through its self-identification with the external leads to hydrogen production as a spiritual need: the electrolysis formula demonstrate not only the psychologically identical «expressive chemistry» but also the material «logic» of aeronautics out of water. Is hydrogen, constituting the bulk of stars and Sun, a product of the spiritual self-identification of the outer space? Or does it not have the slightest idea of the inexpressible feeling of lightness and only waits for our vertical drifting, for our new dance with no rule? Because of all these flights and jumps I have almost forgotten the approaching round date. They say, precisely twenty hundred years ago someone ascended up to the heaven already and... have not returned yet. I've made up my mind to celebrate the event my own way. Have a chance to imagine, how the night MM (2000) will be going.. ABOUT UPWARD FORCE It buoys up a body dipped into liquid Like a dolphin. And even a body dipped into gas Has no sensations Apart from the force. It falls up... It dissolves in the sky... And there is nothing else, Apart from this magnificent Invariably upward Buoyancy force. And there is no measure for it: Only this very body Dipped into existence. |  |
