SNOW IS HOT

A folding book for seasonal work. It is made in autumn, when everybody prepares for the winter, when villagers make felt boots, birds leave to seek a miler clime dropping feathers on their way… and the snow is near at hand…


Used materials: cardboard, felt, feathers and metal rivets; painted with a white marker pen.

Felt boots
Felt was made by means of a bow with a string over a wooden grating. Due to the vibration of the string
the beaten wood fell into felt-makers’ aprons.
The string was made of sheep guts.
The beaten wood was used to make felt boots, hats, felt sheets.
